Farewell 2024: a look back at the defining moments of the year

2024, a year of innovations and improvements

Over the course of the year, we have introduced major changes at several of our hotels, as part of our determined efforts to renovate, innovate and deliver new THB hotels experiences. Read on to discover some of the principal updates:

- Food Trucks at the THB Guya Playa, THB Cala Lliteras, THB San Fermín and THB María Isabel: A fun and dynamic addition to our dining options! After successfully introducing this concept at the THB Bamboo Alcudia, we know that they are a firm favourite! These food trucks bring a fresh, casual vibe, providing the perfect meeting place for grabbing a bite to eat in a laid-back atmosphere.

- Refurbishment at the THB Los Molinos: We’ve completely renovated our suites, which now feature a more contemporary and inviting décor for maximum comfort. What’s more, we’ve opened a brand-new buffet restaurant serving brunch-style breakfasts. Each morning, guests can enjoy fresh, high-quality produce while admiring spectacular views of the gardens, pool, and Ibiza’s coastline.

- Renovation of the Buffet Restaurant at the THB Flora: Our newly redesigned buffet restaurant makes for a unique dining experience. In this spacious, modern setting, you can enjoy a fantastic selection of freshly prepared hot and cold dishes prepared before your eyes at our show cooking stations. From breakfast to dinner, our wide selection of local and international flavours will make every meal a reason to extend your break on Lanzarote.

- A New Hotel: the THB Lanzarote Beach: Lanzarote remains one of our top destinations, and this year we’ve welcomed a new hotel into our family. Located on Costa Teguise, the THB Lanzarote Beach boasts a prime location and outstanding service, making it the perfect base to explore everything the island has to offer.

Milestones in sustainability and social responsibility

At THB hotels, we are continuing to integrate our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility as core elements of our identity. This year, we were honoured with the award for Best Social Responsibility Initiative for our THB College project—a platform aimed at driving our teams’ development and training. This recognition not only highlights our commitment to young talent but also underpins our dedication to the people who make our vision a reality.

We have continued to work closely with organisations such as Tursiops, which focuses on marine conservation; the Deixalles Foundation, promoting social inclusion through a circular economy; and Cáritas, providing support for families in vulnerable situations through initiatives like the Solidarity Room and toy donation campaigns. We have also participated actively in actions such as 1 Song, 1 Shower, which encourages the responsible use of water at our hotels, and various beach clean-up events.
