OUR COMMITMENT TO GASTRONOMY AND LOCAL PRODUCE

    JUNE

    10

    diseno-sin-titulo-50>
At THB hotels, we offer our guests unique and authentic experiences. In 2024, we are continuing to progress with our commitment to sustainability and culinary excellence by focusing on gastronomy featuring locally sourced produce.
This not only spotlights the delicious flavours of each region, but also reflects our support for local communities and contributes to reducing our carbon footprint.

    Support for local producers
At THB hotels, we appreciate the importance of supporting local agricultural and livestock farmers and fishing industries. Purchasing produce directly from these communities guarantees the quality of our ingredients, and enables us to contribute to the economic and social development of the areas we operate in. This commitment to the community is an essential part of our corporate philosophy.

    Sustainability and environmental responsibility
Using local produce not only adds to our culinary proposals, but is also part of our commitment to sustainability. Reducing the distance food items have to travel to reach our hotels significantly reduces our carbon footprint.

    Exclusive dining experiences
At THB hotels, our goal is to ensure all our guests enjoy their stay to the full, and that naturally includes a culinary experience savouring delicious local flavours. We firmly believe that food is a fantastic way of delving into the culture of each place. For this reason, we are constantly seeking ways of enhancing the experiences we offer, and one of our key actions for 2024 is to continue focusing on gastronomy based on locally sourced produce.

At our hotels in the Balearic Islands, for example, we offer a wide selection of wines, most of which belong to the Binissalem Designation of Origin. When they drink these wines, diners not only experience the wealth of the local gastronomy, but also support the region’s winemakers, and contribute to the development of the local wine industry. We also use local products such as Mahón cheese, which adds to our culinary offer and enables guests to taste authentic regional products. Our menus also feature Mallorca’s traditional dishes, such as tumbet, (roasted vegetables), Mallorcan-style coca vegetable pizzas and ensaimada pastries, to name but a few.

Our hotels on Lanzarote also offer you the chance to discover the local gastronomy. You can try the Canary Islands’ traditional roasted gofio maize, as well as locally sourced cheeses and yoghurts. We also serve a selection of local wines, including Rubicón and Malvasía.

So how about taking a culinary journey with us?  We’re sure you’ll love the authentic flavours of each destination we offer. We’re ready to welcome you with open arms and delicious dishes guaranteed to surprise and delight!
