THB HOTELS AND ITS COMMITMENT TO SPORT

The very nature of sport makes it an excellent means of passing on values. Sport has the ability to stir deep emotions and feelings, but it is also a great way of learning core principles that can be applied to our daily, social, family and working lives. 

At THB hotels we identify closely with many of the positive values sport transmits, including the following:  

Effort. Determination and the desire to achieve a specific objective, overcoming any obstacles that may appear.  

Personal achievement. A value that drives an individual to seek perfection, defeating all the difficulties that appear along the way.  

Perseverance. Sport is a great way of learning not to give up and to keep trying until you achieve your goals.  

Equality. Everyone, regardless of their culture, sex or social status, is equal and shares the same rights.

Respect. For the members of our own and rival teams. When training, in the changing rooms and during play.  Treating everyone with respect is a basic and fundamental value. We all deserve to be treated well.  

Teamwork. During the course of our lives, there will be numerous occasions when we have to work as part of a team: at work, school and university, in family situations, etc. 

Our corporate philosophy includes the dissemination of these values and a commitment to supporting various sports. 

As a result, this year we will once again be sponsoring two local teams:  Palma Futsal, which plays in Futsal Division One and Iberojet Palma, competing in the Spanish Basketball League’s second division (LEB Oro).  

We host both teams at THB hotels during their pre-seasons, support them at special tournaments, call their press conferences, treat their members to exclusive benefits, share their enthusiasm via social media and revolutionise matches with special touches such as the THB hotels Baskets (Canastas THB hotels).  

We do all this because they have proved that hard work and sacrifice will lead to victory. They have shown us that they are determined and ready to work hard and fight to come out on top, not just for themselves, but also for everyone that supports and loves them. Because they are great team players, but above all, because they have earned respect out on court. Because they share the values we are committed to defending and promoting.  Because we share the passion, enthusiasm and pride of their amazing fans. We will continue to support them at each match, celebrating every goal and basket, and will stick with them through thick and thin.
