At THB hotels we work every day in a sustainability programme that promotes practices that respect the environment. All the hotels in the company meet sustainability criteria and actively participate in programmes that care for the environment.

Among our initiatives we underline the reduction in the washing of bed linen and towels, monthly checks of water and energy consumption, recycling points, selective collection of solid and hazardous waste with companies authorized for this type of collection and its subsequent recycling and the use of LED lights. We continuously offer information and training, both to our employees and customers about our environmental practices and our recommendations of how you can do more.

In addition, we support new technologies that aim to help the environment. That is why we have installed into one of our hotels a home automation system. The threat of climate change is causing us to change our way of thinking and, with it, our consumption habits.

We are also aware that renovations can lead to environmental harm. That is why, before carrying out any work, however minimal, we carry out a waste management study. This includes actions such as: selective demolition, the use of "non-hazardous" materials and the reduction of packaging waste through practices such as the use of materials with containers that are returned to the supplier.

Some of our hotels have bike rentals and we promote Km0 or similar schemes that promote the use of local produce.

Since it’s beginning, THB hotels have been aware that tourist activity takes place in the most desirable locations and focuses on the personal treatment of customers. For this reason we have decided to establish and progressively implement at our establishments a management system based on the international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14.001. Our management systems cover accommodation, catering and events services.

Thanks to the efforts of the THB hotel staff and the guests who have visited us, over the years with your help we will manage to continue to reduce our carbon footprint and energy and water usage.
