This year saw the second edition of the awards targeting Majorca’s business sector, organised by the newspaper Diario de Mallorca and media group Prensa Ibérica, under the sponsorship of the financial institution Bankia.
The Innobankia awards are given to ground-breaking companies at the forefront of their sector, acknowledging their innovative role in areas such as sustainability or their professional contribution to the Balearic Islands’ community. They recognise initiatives in various aspects that provide solutions and therefore improve our society.
Six of the Balearics Islands’ cutting-edge companies received awards for their “best practices in areas such as sustainability, exports, tourism, innovation or their professional trajectory”, as the presenter of the awards ceremony explained.
A total of 57 candidates took part in this second edition.
THB hotels received a Business of the Year award for its FP Dual THB College project, in recognition of the company’s talent and its determined efforts.
Miquel Miralles, the chain’s CEO, received the award from Bankia’s Toni Serra. Miralles dedicated the accolade to “the teams, who make us feel tremendously proud of our company each day”.
