IN 2019 THE NUMBER OF THB HOTELS HOLDING TRAVELIFE GOLD CERTIFICATION ROSE TO THREE, PROOF OF THE CHAIN’S FULL COMMITMENT TO RESPONSIBLE SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT, THE ENVIRONMENT AND ITS EMPLOYEES’ SOCIAL AND LABOUR RIGHTS.
The THB Royal***, situated in Playa Blanca (Lanzarote), has joined the list of the chain’s hotels holding the prestigious international Travelife Gold certification. Together with the THB Tropical Island**** (Lanzarote) and the THB Gran Playa**** (Majorca), this property has successfully met the strict standards this major certification requires.
In this sense, the company has successfully met its goals, based on a strategy of increasingly high quality standards and ongoing improvements to management systems, the optimisation of energy resources and respect and care for all environmental aspects, with results exceeding those of previous years. An example is the significant reduction in the company’s CO2 emissions, as reflected in the latest study in this area drawn up by the chain.
This achievement allows THB hotels to look ahead to 2020 with optimism. The company is planning to add to its portfolio of hotels holding environmental certification such as Travelife Gold, thereby meeting the needs and demands that tourist and social agents have been calling for in recent years.
